I think Wiki got a bad rep early on because there were teething issues, but now many of those problems are being ironed out really well, and you have a lot more vigilance than before. I would agree that it's silly to use it as your only source for your thesis or something, but what Wiki really is, is a GREAT PLACE TO START one's research.
