+11 You imagine a specific voice for each Amirite member whenever you read their posts/comments, amirite?

Strangely enough I think of them looking like their avatar.

Haha yeah me too. 乂^◡^乂

In a way, I guess. Some people have angry and sort of condescending voices, most every time. Others are more reasonable, and their *voices* stand out.

Yea. The personality, the avatar, the username...it all goes into how I imagine the voice sounding.

Nope.

I hope people don't imagine my speech impediment.

In my head, yours was a teen's voice in SodaHead times, and it has deepened to become an adult's voice.

by Anonymous 5 years ago

Well, that is accurate. I have (finally) matured biggrin

by Anonymous 5 years ago

Well, intellect-wise, you've always been very mature for your age since SodaHead times, from what I've seen. :D

Sometimes I even make little sock puppets of them and reenact threads for amusement.

More than a voice, it's more like a tone. Certain people I always imagine a soft or friendly tone. Others more of a yelling, angry and condescending tone. And things like that. For example, when Dandy speaks of coffee, I always correlate a tone that would match a face like this: https://media1.tenor.com/images/9c661c4511950d0de1d5b51193b3e1a8/tenor.gif I remember some time back when a member made a post about Vocaroo, or something like that - which was a recording online site. I remember DWF made a recording. So when it comes to her, I imagine her voice and accent. But the rest, it's more of a tone.

Lol xD :D I tend to assign specific voices to the people that I see more often. Sometimes I can decide to change a voice if I feel like it, but I usually keep the same ones. For example, when I read DandyDon's comments, I always tend to imagine the same calm, chill voice. :P I never thought of making that correlation with coffee. lol. Now that you mentioned, maybe that's going to factor a bit into my imagination. :P But I don't always read with voices. Sometimes it's just a faint voice or tone, or no voice at all. I've never got to see the post with DWF's recording. But I've seen another post where other people put recordings (LP, Serenity, MM).

What kind of voice? https://www.writeups.org/wp-content/uploads/Captain-Jean-Luc-Picard-Star-Trek-Patrick-Stewart-a.jpg 乂^◡^乂

Normal people voices - but they only stay in my head for as long as I'm reading the comments... it's not like the voices are imaginary friends or anything. :P

I guess... But I don't.
