Even after learning about prohibition I still did not realize the corruption and stupidity of the clueless law makers until I lived through the legalization of marijuana. The only reason it's benefits have been to denied to the great people of America is because all the pharmaceutical companies didn't want a safer cheaper product competing with their convenient products. So they spent millions to lobby and claim this drug was too dangerous to even do testing in. This pain and suffering caused to pot smokers by the denial of their cure should be compensated some how. It's my honest belief that if you are currently prescribed marijuana for a medical condition you are entitled to monetary reparations for your suffering caused by the FDA and big Pharma and their efforts to suppress this misunderstood and misrepresented plant.
