If you live in a metropolitan area, you probably walk over bodies quite a bit, though you'd never know they were there. Enough time passes and no one will care.

Once people are dead and buried for hundreds of years, it is safer for the community to cement the area, remember sealed safe coffins are a new thing, those old graves were a wooden box long rotted away leaving bones some that can still hold deadly viruses or bacterias.

That is a good reason to consider cremation. I told my family that is what I want when I die, cheaper cleaner less space.
