+57 Humanity has advanced socially, culturally and technologically, but we are still running on 200,000 year old brain meats our caveman ancestors had. amirite?

by Anonymous 4 years ago

Not true. If we'd really been running on biology that old, we wouldn't have survived this long. There's a reason we don't die at the ripe old age of 30 anymore.

That reason is mainly parasites from a lack of proper clothing/cooking and storage of goods involved in survival. Also. Cavemen (as they are currently viewed) walked the earth before the most recent ice-age. They went extinct within the past 15000 years bro. Only because there were not enough of them to maintain a diverse enough population to be able to survive.

I don't believe that.. 150,000 year old brain meat tops !!

Nope. The inner part of our brain is colloquially called our "reptilian brain" for a reason; things like breathing and feeling emotion are controlled by your brain stem and inner brain. The outer (more recently evolved) parts are where language, personality, imagination and other more complex things take place.

So? Its still the same brain our ancestors had 200k years ago.

It's not... it's been evolving for millions of years and continues to evolve

by Anonymous 4 years ago

Well, it has evolved into what we have.
