Whatever that means. Rarely does the actual inventor become rich. The company that mass produces does. Everything inside computers and smart phones came from the military. If the govt hadn't footed the bill we wouldn't have even have had transistors which were the backbone of modern tech.

Virtually all tech comes from govt grants and subsidies by way of the military and universities. Without that companies would not even have an R&D dept That's the same fallacy as competition produces the best results. The profit motive produces corruption not innovation.
