When you're being you. You'll look classy enough to yourself and people who understand you. Or maybe more than enough. But if you try to become a totally another person just too look "classy". People might pay no heed to you. Unless ya want it. Well sorry if I sound like an asshole but it's just the truth.

You don't sound like an asshole at all. I was going for this: (maybe my choice of the word "classy" wasn't the best) - - "By the time of Lincoln's inaugural address of 1861, 'our better angels' was a figure of speech familiar to many citizens of the United States. The phrase would have called forth the notions of enlightened, calm, and virtuous judgment—the best guides to sensible and honorable conduct in any person or nation."
