I think they mean anything from microwaves to radio waves. Because there is a hell of a lot more than ultraviolet over on the infra red side (the classification region includes fewer nanometers of total range uv being 30-400nm, and IR describing from 700 nm up to 2500 nm (if we don't count the trans-infrared range which takes us to 25,000)
