Nope. Hummingbirds drink nectar, which is a natural version of sugar water made by flowers. Their bodies are designed (either by a god or nature by evolution) to run on sugar because they need so much fast-burning fuel to keep humming. If an animal with a slower metabolism only had sugar water they would die from lack of vitamins before they became diabetic. Also SUGAR ALONE DOES NOT MAKE PEOPLE DIABETIC!
