I discovered this as a teenager when I'd wake up hungover. I remember thinking that I must be weird or something.

For the love of God do not drink Gatorade. It has more sugar than pop. Need electrolytes? Drink coconut water or watermelon!

I may be wrong but one of Gatorade or Powerade tastes sweet when you are dehydrated. And strange (salty?) when you are not. Sure they have a lot of sugar but they also have electrolytes. And tbf a lot of athletes drink Gatorade or Powerade when running.
