+49 It's a shame we can can be immediately judged by our looks and not by our "souls". amirite?

Sometimes it's for the best, trust me.

Sometimes I'd rather people see the "inner me" because being wrongly judged by looks alone pushed them away when we might have been really good friends. I just *look* big and mean.

Think of it in terms of probability. A man needs self control, ambition and a certain amount of resources to get in shape. Therefore, if a man looks good he has certain characteristics that people respect. If a man is out of shape, then he may or may not have those characteristics. If you don't know someone and have to rely on probability, who is more likely to have these desirable characteristics, a muscley man or a weak one?

This isn't about muscle or weakness. I myself just apparently am intimidating because of my height and have been told I "didn't seem approachable at first" many times.

If you're worried about getting hurt, who's more likely to be capable of it or do it accidentally, a big tall guy or a small short guy?

I wear my heart on my sleeve and soul on my face.

I judge by intelligence

How do you know if you haven't spoken to the person?

by Anonymous 3 years ago

But you can't control that? Intelligence is just as arbitrary as looks
