+32 If we ever colonize on other planets and Earth is destroyed, there will be inevitably be "No-Earther" conspiracy theorists within a decade. amirite?

There is a great game called surviving mars where you have to colonise the red planet. After a while and having some Martian born colonists there is a random event that pops up where they are trying to spread that mars is flat. Gets me every time.

Talking casually about a paradox game as if it won't consume 3,500 hrs of your life like Eu4 has from me

by Anonymous 3 years ago

That game was free until yesterday I think on epic games (pc). Them having free games regularly is literally the only reason why I have that store.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

same, I've never bought anything on epic yet I have a huge catalog of games from years of collecting their free games.

Has it been years already? Damn time is flying.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Haha, I'm actually playing through this right now and haven't gotten that yet 😂

Remember when Elon tweeted "why is there no flat Mars society" and flat earth society responded "unlike earth, we have proven Mars is round"

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Well that's similar to what happened when we moved from Mars after all

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Wouldn't suprise me if we're even there right now with some people.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Even before Earth is destroyed, anyone too far way to be able to visit can claim it doesn't exist and that anyone who says so is a part of the conspiracy.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

"MAAARS IS FLAAAAT!" "Dude we live on a space station. You can literally look out the window and see it's spherical." "It's a trick! Big Space is hiding the truth!"

by Anonymous 3 years ago

*The Earth was flat!*

by Anonymous 3 years ago

It wasn't just flat, it was a single point along with all other energy that ever has and ever will exist.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

"Looks like we got us an Earther, boys."

by Anonymous 3 years ago

I was just thinking about this the other day, but more in the case of a "generation ship," IE: A ship which takes 100s of years to reach it's destination and the passengers consist of multiple generations. In such as situation there would be no doubt that soon after the first generation died conspiracies would start about how "the videos of earth were just special effects they made to keep us pacified," or "the 'destination,' they say were headed for is a lie they told us to give us hope and keep us looking. Look around us! Do you see any of these 'planets'?"

by Anonymous 3 years ago

You'd have to wait for someone to have never seen Earth, & someone who is uninfluenceable. So, they would have to be at least a teenager. In short... 20 Earth years (assuming no pregnant emigrants to Mars and no pregnancies for the first few years as they settle in) ...oh... that's 10.6 years on Mars. Ah... I see what ya did there!

by Anonymous 3 years ago

In my opinion, conspiracy theorists wouldn't go and colonize other planets, they would stay on the Earth. The colonizers would be 100% engineers and scientists

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Robert Heinlein wrote a short story called "Logic of Empire", and in that one planetary colonizers were 95% ~~slaves~~ indentured servants

by Anonymous 3 years ago

I think you're being too optimistic with the time. The moment someone say: maybe we can move to other planet, in one month will be conspiracy theorists.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Before earth is destroyed

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Yeah earth doesn't exist all the stuff that flys in is gifts from the gods. It'd be so weird and cool to see people develop Martian culture.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Earth wasn't destroyed! They put us on a ship, took a lap around the solar system and we landed on earth again! Wake up sheeple!

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Decade? You underestimate people.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

There will be no-earthers even if it doesn't get destroyed

by Anonymous 3 years ago

I'd say within 15 minutes. The misinformation would start before the space ship even took off lol

by Anonymous 3 years ago

A decade? More like a month

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Like it'd take maybe more than 100 years..

by Anonymous 3 years ago

The first Martian humans will live the first years of their life not knowing they are a part of a species on a planet they don't know exists, and that they are part of a giant experiment to colonize Mars. They may also think earth doesn't exist.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Its so great that conspiracy theorist as a term is so openly mocked know. Operation Mockingbird has done its job 👏

by Anonymous 3 years ago

Don't worry: humans won't last that long.

by Anonymous 3 years ago

How stupid of you to think that we live on "Earth". We are already on a different planet and the sheeple overlords just let us think that we are still on earth to control us!
