I find the opposite. I think it's jarring when someone is shopping in a movie or show and you don't see any products because that not how actual stores are set up. In real life stores it's all about product placement and trying to get shoppers to buy more stuff. When that isn't present it looks like a set, not a store that actually exists. It's when they do the full on commercials in the show or movie that I find jarring.
