Some people believe those that blink when others pretend to hit them are weak and cowardly, but that actually indicates their brain is smart enough to protect their eyes when danger approaches their face. amirite?

Exactly, why would i just try to take the hit?

I grew up with a brothers When someone tries to punch me, me arms will go up infront of my face.I learned that its stupid to take a punch to the face. Its strange though how its considered cowardly to defend your face rather than taking the punch.

Whatever. Two for flinching, nerd.

Reminds me of the white boys making Harold flinch in the movie Harold and Kumar goto white castle. EXTREME!

Maybe they just have great reflexes and you shouldn't mess with them.

Unless you do combat sports which involve striking. There keeping your eyes open gives you an advantage for quick counters.

Meanwhile I often don't blink or flinch because I'm just not paying attention to things around me and even if I do notice something my reaction time is generally measure in second.

@The-Merciless-Potato Hint: blink after you counter so you can see where you hit

It's more I'm staring at object flying generally towards my head but I don't notice it. As long as it misses I look like a badass.

Once in school had a basketball I'm looking towards pass just over my shoulder while walking, missing my head very slightly and other kids yelled out to me in awe. I didn't even know what I did till they told me. Apparently it looked like I intentionally dodge the ball with minimal movement, I didn't correct them.

I'm a bit of a lost cause on this. One of my friends regularly fake punches me to see if I'm mentally present.

The best thing to do if someone pretends to punch you is to actually punch them

One of my favorite passive practical jokes is to look past the person I am speaking to and open my eyes real wide.
