I don't like sand. It's all coarse, and rough, and irritating. And it gets everywhere.

I bought a home out in the middle of nowhere and didn't like the carpets so I ripped them all up. Under the carpet was a bit of sand in every room. But even weirder was under the pad was a LOT of fine sand. I live in farm country and the only sand I know of in the area is a lake 40 miles away. The house is only 10 years old and it was owned by an old lady that was disabled and never went anywhere. So where the hell did all that sand come from? Just in the spare bedroom there was enough sand to fill the dustpan full. In the living room I filled the Dyson vacuum 3/4 of the way! I know she kept the windows open a lot based on the water damage on the window casings so it must have been wind blown sand somehow. I just don't see where it could have blown in from.

Stuff just gets trapped under carpets, it's so gross, I ripped out carpet last year to put in laminate flooring and there was so much dirt and sand.

40 miles is 64.37 km

The way you spelled surprising with a Z makes me hear this in a high pitched german accent

The missing r helps this as well.

My most salient memory of going to the beach as a little tiny kid is my mom shaking baby powder into my butt crack after we got home

No need to lie. You were clearly 32 when this happened!

This is why Anakin Skywalker turned into Darth Vader

Probably sand is the only thing that wants to lay in beaches.
