It's a tough lesson to accept.... That we are actually that stupid.

I know right? We are literally our biggest problem in every single way, and even that statement will cause divided opinions.

How does that saying go? Two things in our world our infinite. The universe (probably) and human stupidity (definitely)

Humans are gullible not stupid. We lack critical thinking to defeat conspiracy thinking.

I don't think stupidity is the problem. Greed and disinformation are the culprits. Dr. Mercola is a quintessential example. https://www.counterhate.com/disinformationdozen

You already forgot the previous source of division. Or the one before that. The issue here isn't the jab, it's the underlying political divide. Even if covid goes away and we never hear of it again (lol), it'll be something else that collapses us. Any politicized issue is the threat, because politics is the problem.

People are the problem. Politics is the symptom.

Disinformation is the problem, that's why people are not getting vaccinated. https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/the-disinformation-dozen-spreading-anti-vaccine-messaging-on-social-media/

Shhh... shhhh...!   You're not supposed to say or imply anything critical about the CCP or about our southern border policy under you-know-who//!//

Who is you know who? Joe Biden?

We have survived far worse than the divisions over a jab in the arm.   There always are //some//  casualties, of course.   biggrin   [IMAGE:113508]

I don't understand the picture. Who are these people?

Covid-19 is bad, but not end of the world. I'm more worried about climate change or nuclear winter. Anti-vaxxers are a huge problem. If we had 99% of the ages 12+ vaccinated the pandemic would be over. <i>"The real-world studies of vaccine effectiveness measure to which extent a certain vaccine has succeeded in preventing COVID-19 infection, symptoms, hospitalization and death for the vaccinated individuals in a large population under routine conditions that are less than ideal."</i> Next, is meteor strikes that could simply wipe out all humanity. Finally, a future pandemic might be so deadly and infectious there may not be time to develop a vaccine. In theory at least a pandemic with an R0 value of 20, as infectious as measles, but 100% fatality rate as deadly as rabies is possible. I call it meabies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_vaccine#Effectiveness
