Nah I think their biggest advantage is being able to order anything, anywhere at anytime and it comes to you
Yeah I don't think shoplifters are the reason most physical stores lose money, also overheads like paying rent to lease the stores, staff to work at the counters, electricity bills and tax, Amazon avoid a lot of tax.
It is one of the advantages but pretty sure not the biggest one.
I would assume Amazon like what Walmart does is focus more on reducing employee theft. Walmart losses more money by employee theft then customer theft.
LoL, that's actually their only weakness compared to stores. Way more misplaced/stolen items. They make up for it is every other aspect of the retail business though.
Employees steal too.
My gf worked for Amazon and I can tell you, they definitely still deal with shoplifting, just in a different sense. People order stuff all the time and take advantage of the refund and surrounding policies.
Or AWS makes so much money they don't have to be profitable as a store. Most stores don't have that luxury.
Porch pirates?
Wrong. They do - it's just lifters are now running around neighborhoods snatching packages.
