Yeah. I was always a good kid and my sister was horrible, yet we always got the same amount of gifts at equal value.

Not really. It's more of a review of how much the parent is willing to or how much the parent can spend.

The quality of gifts rarely reflects how a child has behaved. It's actually an annual wealth performance review for adults. They even take photos Christmas Eve to brag on facebook.

Xmas can be a reflection of how well the parents' annual performance review went.
