There should be a movie rating between PG-13 and R, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
PG-17
very rare, but still exists.

I knew there was NC-17, but I thought they discontinued it. And some older movies are rated MA.

M and MA
M is recommended for mature audiences, so recommended for 15+
MA is for mature audiences, so you MUST be 15+, and they check IDs
That's in parts of Australia at least, where there isn't PG-13, it goes from PG to M

How old are you when you get an ID?
by Anonymous13 years ago
i dunno, just bring passports i guess
by Anonymous13 years ago
Generally you'd get at least a school ID card in year 7, which is at about 12.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh okay. In South Africa we get our IDs at 16. Until then you use your birth certificate or a passport if you have one. Then at university or FET college (FET college is from grade 10 to 12 - age 16 - 18) you'll get your student ID card.

In England we have U, 12A, 15, 18. Is R the eqivalent of 18?
by Anonymous13 years ago
We also have 12 in between 12A and 15.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That too XD.

In the old days, there was no PG-13. It went from PG to R.
Of course, there also were a lot more G rated movies. Nowadays companies avoid a G rating because people think it will be a kids movie if it gets a G.

I don't think so. There's a very fine line between what an R rated movie and a PG-13 movie is. Mean Girls was gonna be rated R, because in the original script, Jason said "Is your cherry popped?" instead of "Is your muffin buttered." They had to change that one little line to make it PG.

14A and 18A both come before R in my area.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Where i'm from we have 14A and 18A that come between those two.
