no, thats incorrect. i apologize, i cant give you the regular page number because i have the ultimate hitchhikers guide, not the individual books, but hhg chapter 27 (page 120 in my book) ends with deep thought suspensefully revealing that "The Answer to the Great Question...Of Life, the Universe, and Everything...Is...Forty-two" but you are right in that the movie was really, really awful and the books were undeniably better :] i hate when they dumb down comedy to show american audiences -_-
