+5 If someone is stuck in a timeloop, technically we're ALL stuck in a timeloop, they're just the only ones who know, amirite?

*hits blunt* What if time loops are real but they're 20 billion years long?

What if you're only a character in a dream I am having right now

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Ahh… but time is relative.

Idk about that. Usually a time loop is some sort of punishment. Groundhog day he was cursed. Dr Strange was doing magic.

But everyone in the timeloop is still (presumably) a real person, and will remember the day as it happened on the final loop. Meaning they were all in the loop too, they just didn't know

Ok imagine this, time being looped only on earth or where this person is located. If everyone on earth is effected, then it extends to the solar system, which if left unchecked, would be very noticeable when the Sun and stars aren't where they're supposed to be. So if the solar system is effected, then so is the milky way galaxy, and by extension the galaxies around that, and so on. So not only would you have to be powerful enough to cause a time loop on a universal scale, but you'd have to be the most self absorbed and self centered person to think this universal scale time loop would be so grand that even the gods would be in it and not know it. Idk I feel like it's something only effecting an area, like in Wanda vision. The timeloop just puts you in a pocket dimension, imo

But if it's only happening in one area, then when the time loop ends everyone will be in the future. A far more accurate way for a timeloop to work is that one person is just sent back in time, it has nothing to do with a geographic area.

Unless it's only occurring in a specific spot

by Anonymous 2 years ago

That would imply that exiting a timeloop is just a matter of going to a far enough away location

Space-time

Yes, time is relative. Look up Einstein's Twin Paradox for further info!

I still don't understand the mechanism of that particular loop, but I love Natasha Lyonne as Nadia

what if you never went to sleep?

Groundhog Day and Stargate has you covered- you just wind up right back at the start of the loop, where ever you were when it started in the blink of an eye. The question is what happens if you don't blink at the transition point???
