+67 You can't tilt a sphere, amirite?

by Anonymous 2 years ago

You can, it just doesn't changes anything. That is one of the consequences of the Definition of a sphere, any Tilt won't change anything. In physics, earth is often simplified as a sphere. It has an axial tilt. Just that without the continents or any arbritrary coordination, you would never notice it.

(It's a joke I mean this in jest) I mean I made your mom pretty mad when I mentioned her weight she was pretty tilted

I'm pretty sure you're talking of your own here, because you cannot know mine.

Or the interior of the sphere gives it orientation

Came here to say this

by Anonymous 2 years ago

You most definitely can tilt a sphere

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Wait until this guy finds out about the earth

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Unless its on an uneven plane.

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Tell that to the Earth

I'm holding a ball. I just tilted it. Weird.

Tilting a stationary sphere has little effect, tilting a rotating spheroid that is orbiting an energy source causes seasonal fluctuations.

In bowling l, most pros use custom balls that are unbalanced so they can do controlled curves adapted to their playing style. My dad has one, when he was young he was in a league

Now this is a good one

by Anonymous 2 years ago

The earth is tilted.

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Ooh. You've got a point there 👀

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Not a perfect sphere

by Anonymous 2 years ago

So? If it was a perfect sphere that wouldn't make the axial tilt go away

by Anonymous 2 years ago

The tilt is still there but just for their example it wouldn't work

by Anonymous 2 years ago

If it's spinning it's even harder.

by Anonymous 2 years ago

But u can a 2D one
