As a Cajun, I would absolutely try Yeti Crab boil.

Ah, the Cajun philosophy on food: "Eat anything that moves. And if it doesn't move, kick it and make it move."

I'm actually a pretty picky eater, especially for a Cajun, but not when it comes to shellfish. I will eat myself into regret during a Crab/crawfish boil. So, a deep boi thrown into the pot probably wouldn't phase me so much. My husband asked if I'd be willing to try those large Hissing cockroaches bc they're supposedly pretty close to shellfish. I probably wouldn't taste one cooked on a fire, but boil a few of them with a sack of Slap Ya Mama, I'll make some crawfish sauce, and we'll see how it goes.

I think I've got you beat on the picky eater thing. I've endured countless hours of ridicule for being the only Cajun who thinks crawfish are gross. And a big thumbs up on Slap Ya Mama. Though my all time favorites are the Paul Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning Blends.

Like many Louisianians that want to make money, we recently moved to Houston. So some of the classic seasonings are hard to find, surprisingly Academy carries the large bags of SYM for boils, but for home use I make my own Cajun seasonings for general cooking.

Yeah, I should make my own blends, but it's just so easy to grab some Tony's or whatever. And truth be told, almost everyone does it nowadays. And yeah, I moved to the San Antonio area. I don't even like driving through Houston, much less living there, lol.
