Dogs love you more unconditionally than humans and yet we treat dogs less than humans. amirite?
by Anonymous3 years ago
We treat humans like animals too. The homeless population, low income workers of all types, and racists have a lot to say about the opposite skin tone of theirs.
You're right though, respect all living creatures, whether from the wild or living in your home.

My dogs have more toys than some children. They get the best food money can buy. They get multiple walks a day and have a massive yard to play in. They take all the naps they want. My dogs live like kings.

Does a king have to ask to go outside? Does a king have to wear a leash when outside of a fenced area? Does a king have to eat the same type of food every single day besides the scraps from their owner? Does a king have an owner?

Tell that to the pope during the Holy Roman Empire

Yes to all of the above.

You* treat your dog less than human. I treat my baby like the king he is. He doesn't even need a leash anymore for walks

You really think most people treat their dogs like kings? You'd be surprised to find out how many people don't properly take care of their dogs. I don't have a dog either.

Yea lots of careless owners. It's extremely sad because then the pet is like slave entertainment not and adopted family member
by Anonymous3 years ago
My dog is family.
by Anonymous3 years ago
But again, still less than family. Do you hold your dog higher on the hierarchy than your wife, children, parents, etc?
by Anonymous3 years ago
Well, no. They're people and they also love you just as much as a dog.
by Anonymous3 years ago
I love my dog more than most people. She's got a very happy home.

Animals don't "love" anyone. What we call "love" is an abstract construct, not a concrete thing.
