Corollary: Mankind may not actually be the smartest animal on the planet, but we have opposable thumbs that give us a tremendous physical advantage.

Also, our definition of "smartest" is biased by our own beliefs of intelligence. We're the only species that kills each other over green pieces of paper. Dolphins just swim around playing with each other all day. They may be onto something...

Their brains are small for their size. Trust me, worms just don't have enough of it.

That's why it's survival of the fittest... and not survival of the smartest

Also, grabbing things is important... we underestimate fingers...
