Yep. It's all about money. Extreme gets attention, which brings viewers, which brings advertising revenue. And it seems politicians, even more so than in the past, are just pandering to whoever will give them contributions.

Our world is pretty fucking extreme as of the last 3 years.. I think the crazy people are the ones who act like everything is fine, and that authority should be trusted as if they are contributing to a solution,, instead of creating more problems

Libertarians can unify better than authoritarians. Sure, our side has ancoms and ancaps, but those are extremely fringe groups that would most likely not agree on anything anyways. I'm hoping some libertarian-leaning third parties can get on board with unifying together.
