Less tussle in the future
billionaires i know have huge number of children with different wives.
That's the mentality that has the earths white population numbers plummeting….
This guy lol.
Did you know if we all just had one child each, we would effectively halve the population in one generation
Mormons triggered rn.
Unless they're Mormon.
Doubtful. If you have a billion dollars you're not going to worry about how much an extra kid costs. And it's not like your kids are entitled to any of your money outside of basic living expenses. Money gets put into trusts or it gets doled out.
If anything, I would guess that strata of wealth have more children and more family because they are at liberty to support them
No it's about the inheritance. The fortune can quickly evaporate if you have a bunch of heirs.
I guess you didn't read what that person wrote? You are not required to give your money to your children
Ofc they aren't entitled to an inheritance, but they will expect it.
Too bad, they don't get to decide.
Your OP is implying that wealthy people would choose to have fewer kids than they would otherwise prefer, for the main purpose of wealth preservation. That idea is silly because the same goal can be achieved by simply not giving them a large inheritance
You specifically mentioned billionaires too (the OP might make sense for millionaires or people with mid level wealth). A billion dollars is a huge amount of money.
I can't think of any situation where a child could be considered anything but incredibly fortunate if they are "only" given a few million dollars and a privileged childhood.
Not really. Most people don't want to just keep certain kids out of inheritance just to preserve the wealth.
What makes you think billionaires "usually have fewer kids" to preserve wealth? You're contradicting yourself by saying they would rather do the thing you claim they don't want to do.
Probably is because billionaires have access to a better education than the average person. So they make less children
