I wonder if you could argue in court that the terms of service agreement have grown too burdensome to be held accountable to. Also in Texas if the service document isn't able to be understood by a layman then you have grounds to file suit

It is crazy, but for this reason I don't think they're legally binding.

I wouldn't be so sure. In the US at least people have been held to binding arbitration because of a tos that's just present on the website. There was a case with Wayfair furniture that had bed bugs in it.

And crazy nobody is reading it because ain't giving a damn or ain't having enough time

Simply reading it isn't even enough. There are so many words and phrases that have very specific legal meanings that most people wouldn't understand unless thay happened to have a law degree.

Good thing in Germany is, that they have to be fair to the customer. If they are not, one can fight them.

That's why so many contracts are found null, if it can not be understood in plain English, how can you expect it to take a law degree to write but not one to read?

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Not to mention the layman will not understand most of the key information anyway

One of these days I'm going to become part of a Human CentiPad, just because I didn't read.
