Humans are the only animals with a roledex of all the animals, amirite?

So wait are humans self aware Pokémon that keep a catalog of other Pokémon (animals)?

Lions think:

Gazelles taste good but are too fast.

Badger tastes good but too many teeth, too much work.

Humans taste good but entire village hunts you down if you eat even just one.

And yet somehow in the era of smartphones, no one decided to make that Rolodex into a pokedex of all animals currently on Earth.
