How?

by Anonymous 2 years ago

I think op is saying more like "mid-night" (middle night - based on nighttime / dark hours). I could be wrong though.

Yup! Midday is typically a range of hours, but midnight is labeled as a specific time.

Sun goes down at ~8p and rises at 6:30a. Depending on latitude of course.

This varies not only by latitude but also by time of year at that latitude. There is no single "mid-night" as the length of night changes and will be different at different parts of the world.

And time of the year, son.

by Anonymous 2 years ago

No it's not, some parts of the world don't see light for weeks. Midnight is 12AM

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Ah so midnight is Tuesday.

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Valid point. There is no night for parts of the world for weeks, and as such there is no middle, further arguing that mid-night is not at 12a.

2am is actually just earlier in the morning.
