+151 An only child has the power to end their entire lineage spanning hundreds, if not thousands, of years by doing nothing, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

the lineage has already branched off a thousand times, you're irrelevant.

Another non-procreating only child checking in. Trust me when I say not every line *deserves* to be perpetuated.

I am ending my line. Oh well, it's not like the planet is going to be around for much longer anyhow.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I don't know why people act like this is a bad thing

My mum's line, as well as my maternal grandparents' line, ends with me. I'm the only person born to my mum and her two siblings. I don't plan to have a biological child of my own so...

The lineage can be traced back 4 billion years to Luca, the last common ancestor of all living things.

Did she live on the second floor?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's not your business anyway

She said it's upstairs

I agree, I am an only child and I decided over 30 years ago that I would never have children. My spouse and I are in our 40s and we still have no plans to ever have children.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Thousands and thousands of children would have to do nothing to end a lineage.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

There's too many humans already. Dgaf about my lineage

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Last male in my family right here. My last name will die with me.

I'm not an only child, but I *am* an only son and don't plan on having children. That means I represent the end of an unbroken line of fathers that goes back to the beginning of sexual reproduction. That's pretty fun to think about sometimes.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Only if every other ancestor they had was an only child...

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Mwahahahaa!!! Fear my absolute POWER!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I am doing just that.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I mean I have cousins

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The most inbread spread the fastest, it's always been like that.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If the mother and father have siblings the line continues

by Anonymous 1 year ago

What if your fathers brother has a son who marries and keeps going?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

No wonder genital stimulation feels soo good

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'm an only child and I'm about to do that by nothing doing me

by Anonymous 1 year ago

What a depressing bunch. IDK what "the meaning of life" is, but I'm pretty sure that most living things on earth have determined that "living" and continuing life is part of it. Y'all are going to emo the human race into extinction. Having a child does not increase the population. Having *two* children doesn't even increase the population. It'll be OK.
