To the OP's point, if you experienced friction, then you could not go infinitely fast, as you would have a resistant force. Meaning that part of your super power is to somehow not experience friction.

Other things are stationary and you hit them. Even moving through air would cause enough friction to kill you as you hit the molecules. Like burning up on reentry x infinity.
