Although this is true for the most part, there are circumstances where you can claim you were being humble at a given point on time and have it be true. The same goes for saying you weren't being humble at one point in time. Saying it as a here and now statement is where it is more likely than not true, although that's not to say it can't possibly be true 100% of the time.
