Also either the 1st or 2nd least violent state in America. Maine is beautiful culturally as much as it is naturally.
Even though I love astronomy, I never saw the Milky Way until I was about 16 due to light pollution,

Light pollution is too much even outside of cities (especially big ones), but there are clean-er spots in the rural areas that are worthy a try. This is more like LPT but good advice OP
