Star Trek society: All needs met, currency obsolete, no one wants for anything more.

How about a society where *everyone's basic needs* are given more priority than the *desires of the wealthy*? But sure, keep championing a society and system in which a rich person can easily afford to buy milk for their *cat* while hundreds of thousands of *human beings* can't afford food and are dying of starvation.

You need to work to live. Money is a way that your work can be specialized for your own and societies benifit. It is a magic way to work in a way very detached from making food and clean water, support that kind of work, and convert your labor into the results of said labor

Greed is good, greed is God. Bad god, that one. Many worship the prick all the same.

Just because something is necessary doesn't mean you should get it for free. If there were no other people you'd have to work for necessities. Money just allows us to specialize so you can work on something other than the necessities and still survive because someone else's work provides the necessities for many people.
