Don't want to be negative but you probably haver never had artisanal goat (french) cheese. Goat fresh cheese properly made is a very light and delicate thing. Ok there's the old one that looks like it's going bad. But the same thing could be said of cow's cheese.

Maybe my taste buds are broken. I'm eating Laura Chenel from Sonoma... And I've been to plenty of farms and smelled plenty of goats. And it literally tastes like goats smell. But again, maybe I'm broken. I did get my taste buds replaced with asbestos back in 'Nam...

I'm with you. Never been a fan of goat cheese or goat milk products in general for this reason. And I've had "good" goat-stuff, and have no general aversion to "weird" foods.
