Your college experience is what you make of it; I guarantee there is a sober, chill group out there for you.

Ya, there's tons of clubs to join. I was in a poker club ($1 a week) and a gaming club where we played random video games with each other. Always good fun.

It sounds like you, my friend, are looking for D&D.

I see you enjoy the finer things in life. Be well, friend; and may your d20 rolls be rewarding- with increased frequency.

Haha! I've actually never played but have tons of friends who did/do

I never went to a single party in college but was sad to see i barely missed out on my school doing an eSports league for my favorite game rocket league. I was so close to having a super fun extra curricular activity! But yeah I wish there was cool stuff to do for people who didn't like the frat crowd energy when I was in school too.

"Why can't there be a space with no alcohol or drugs that people could use on Friday or Saturday nights to just hang out with some games and snacks?" So... a party??

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Parties at colleges most of the time involve alcohol in the end.

Seems like you just wanted your school to assign you friends

*My school had a place with games and snacks, but it usually got taken over after parties got busted, so I never went.* So there was something and you chose not to partake and now you're bitching there wasn't anything. Yes there was. You just didn't use it. If enough people had used it then no other group would have taken it over as their after party hangout because it would have been full.

If I did go, I'd end up surrounded by the exact people that I didn't want to be around from the parties. Not enough people DIDN'T party, so me and the literal 2 other people in the room wouldn't have been enough to avoid the drunks late at night.

The other non drinkers were all hiding in their rooms too, wishing for something to do. Somebody has to be first. It might have started with just 3 of you but it would have grown. It just needed a little effort. The drinkers put in their effort so they had something to do.

Definitely depends on the school you go too. I go to a liberal arts college and there are a ton of super cool non-party stuff to do all the time. We also have no greeklife so that helps too

It depends on the school I went to a commuter school. A lot of people just went to class and then left.

Wow, honestly my college is never this colorful. It is only study group. Just me and PC games. And finally sign up for online dating site to hookup. Hookup is super fun though.

My school had select dorms that were alcohol free. I imagine going in one of those achieves your goal. Also this might be a shocker, but there is nothing wrong with going to a typical drunken party and just not drinking yourself. Designated drivers do it all the time.
