I got into GBA ROM hacks. Just Pokemon ones tho. But it's fun, you can get a way better experience or maybe even a darker experience. Hell you can play as a Team Rocket grunt if you wanted to!

"A children's story that cannot be enjoyed by adults is neither a story, nor is it for children". People who are adults enjoy Pokemon, even as it is. Saying improvements need to be made simply is saying that Game Freak is talking down to their intended audience for literally no reason

Same with Minecraft. It's OK to play kids games as an adult. It's OK to outgrow kids games It's not OK to demand kids games revamp themselves to fit middle aged men instead of children

Agreed. However I only truly started playing Minecraft as a +30yr old adult and it is still one of my all time favorites. I get tired of it every now and then but it's only a matter of time before I start playing it waaayyyy too often again.

They are bad because they will sell no matter what. They have no incentive to improve the gameplay except with cheap gimmicks. 3D, z-moves, mega evolution. I really like regional variants. Rom hacks are thriving right now. Pokémon Unbound is hands down the best game in the franchise.

How the hell do you get a more "adult" Pokémon. Collecting deformed products of nuclear genetic poisoning instead of Pokémon? A Game focusing on Pikachus Slow Fall to insanity inside the pokeball? The effects of the constant fighting and being taken into slavery and stolen away from their family. And forced into a small hellish capsule to be used only a few times on the pokemons minds? PTSD? Depression? Pikachu uses thunderbolt in the bathtub?

The reason I don't like then anymore is because 95% of JRPGs are better games than pokemon lol and I've realized a and b a long time ago; haven't touched pokemon since diamond/pearl lol
