Wearing Glasses for fashion is kinda ableist imo. amirite?
by Anonymous1 year ago
It's not ableist or even offensive but I do think you are stupid if you wear empty frames because why

>because why
Because it's ableist or even offensive.

If you actually think it's offensive you need to recheck your outlook on life. Its just pointless to wear frames if you have no actual need

What, in your opinion, is my outlook on life? What, in your opinion, should my outlook on life be?

It's such a minor thing that if you find it offensive you should hop of your cross, disassemble it and build a bridge. It literally ain't offensive in any way possible and the fact you think it is means you are weak minded

"I can't answer your question" would've sufficed.

I wear glasses and I don't take offense to this at all. I think it's goofy. But, I don't find it offensive.

I love recreational wheelchairs :/ I look fantastic in ‘em

I wouldn't say it's ableist but it certainly is tacky and unnecessary

Even without prescription, glasses are very much helpful.

Not for those who don't need them they aren't.

I guess that's why Google glasses failed /s

i just got flashbacks to pocketing 3D glasses and popping the lenses out so i could wear them to school when i was a kid

Who's being harmed by people wearing glasses for fashion?
by Anonymous1 year ago
It's kinda weird, but no. Its just a fashion piece. It's not making fun of, or discriminating against people who have poor eyesight so it isn't even offensive. Now walking around with a white cane would be problematic.

I'd say glasses can make a person look real good, wheelchairs rarely don't. Glasses is also easier to bring with you, unlike a wheelchair.
