Honestly humming isn't as bad as a high pitch sound that much of the population doesn't know how to do properly. Vocals are sometimes different

Our bus driver whistled on the regular. I wanted to cry.

That's how it works though, happiness cannot be created or destroyed in a work environment, it can only be transfered, in this case from everyone else to whistle guy
