+106 Saying a band needs to retire is one of the most respectful things someone can say, amirite?

I do sort of agree with you but also, if the artists love it, it's not for us to decide that they retire.

Are you using jumbo spaces?

No. I am not using jumbo spaces. I've always typed like this. I don't know what it looks like because i can't see the screen.

Very true.

Bands should just retire whenever they want to. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've said something similar to this on here before and I 100% agree with you. They may not have the means to retire as it is there career, their life, everything they know. People don't understand the business/monetary side of things and just assume they're all multi-multi millionares with exorbitant wealth and assume they can just retire when they please. People still pay to go to their shows and regardless if they sound old, guess what, they're living beings, they grow old like everyone else. Playing shows give them a purpose and if people get mad that they didn't sound as they expected that is 100% on them as the internet exists and they can research anything from the shows setlist to clips from previous concerts

Rock N' Roll Never dies though.

Not saying it does, it will always be here. However, the classic bands won't whether we want to accept that or not.

Idk, Leonard Cohen last albums are awesome. Same for Johnny Cash and Scott Walker. In the end, famous musicians can technically retire whenever they want.
