We produce too many raisins as a country, amirite?

Does anybody else enjoy raisins as a snack but hate them when they are added to other foods like collard greens?

A bit high in fluoride, pretty high in bioavailable boron and silica too. Overall a great nutritious snack. I use it to flavor my ferment drink

The raisins sold as snacks aren't the type you'd really use for wine. Also, it's a food bank, why would they be handing out enough to bake with

They do hand out other things in baking quantities... It all just depends on what gets donated to them. It is usually stuff a few days from expiring

The date on a box of raisins is not an expiration date. It's a "best by" date. They'll last years past that date.
