+160 Sit Down restaurants are becoming obsolete. amirite?

Depends on what food you serve. Sure, it makes sense for burger and fries but not for steak.

Definitely on the decline, but definitely not becoming obsolete. Chipotle is ok food fast, but at least where I live a nice sit down restaurant with wait service and a unique menu (at least for the area) is a real treat especially with friends/family, and I'm willing to pay for it.

I dunno all the decent restaurants seem to always be crowded though

I can't afford the tip. One restaurant now has 20, 25, and 30% as the automatic options (along with custom, of course). I'm a 10, 15, 20 kind of person, and with the prices at restaurants going crazy, even that makes me steer clear...it's not good for my budget.

a struggling industry is not the same as obsolescence.

I don't think so. Dine in is more of a social experience rather than just grabbing food. People are always going to look for social experiences. Where I live you need to make booking on Wednesday nights these days or you won't get a table. I guess it depends on the culture of where you live.
