Not an unpopular opinion, Pierce is a VERY funny character, we (the fans) just kinda dislike Chevy for his IRL feud with Harmond. Shame he wont be in the film for that same reason... and, well, Pierce is dead... supposedly.
Upon rewatches of the show I gotta say the only main character I wasnt really into at all was Shirlei, but I think that has a lot to do with how she was handled, I feel the character had a higher ceiling than the show allowed her.

Hormon doesn't exactly come across very well in that either. If Chevy is a tier S+ asshole, then Harmon is at at least a tier S asshole himself.

She's the only character in Community that I straight up disliked. Everyone else was written so well.

How do you know he won't be in the movie?
by Anonymous2 years ago
Tbh I dont know for sure, I just assume he wont. He didnt get along with Harmond and Joel McHale.

Also, he was kinda closet racist to Glover behind the scenes too I think.
Part of the reason why Glover left community to pursue his music career instead for a bit.

He was arguably the most important character in Community because he often played the Antagonist, and a large portion of the inter-group conflict centered around him. The loss of his character did far more damage to the show than any other character.

He is a great character. Possibly the most complex out of all of them. Chevy Chase did an incredible job bringing him to life.

I guess you forgot about Magnitude.

POP POP!

Pierce was a great character, though most complex? I dunno about that
I think Kevin would have something to say about that.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Abed and Jeff are probably the most complex since they get the most screen time about their emotions and mental states.
Kevin/Chang is kind of just crazy, and feels bad about it sometimes.

Dan Harmon and Chevy literally HATE each other so he definitely is not gonna be in the movie lol. Chevy was definitely an ass but I can't say I blame him for hating Harmon, who was equally an asshole as well.

First of all, gay.

His character is funny, but I think the issue with him was that he was a nightmare on set and hard to get along with
by Anonymous2 years ago
I think you'll find this isn't unpopular. People dislike Chevy but love Pierce. Pierce was a hilarious character and Chevy played the perfect villain, especially early on in the series. Advanced Dungeons and Dragons was far and away his best episode.

Watched him on Bill Maher. He has gotten old. Looked frail and not as sharp as he was. Don't think he is in a condition to do much more than a cameo
by Anonymous2 years ago
He was good because he got to be himself, a dick. So yeah, easy acting.

Terrific character but awful human being.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Me too! It's just behind the scenes he was terrible
