I just what them to be written by people who like the franchises.

Yeah I'll take that too.

Depends on the show honestly
You need to specify that you're talking about high concept sci-fi and fantasy
The problem is though the main demographic adults in the west just don't want to watch animated shows
We could have had a fully book accurate game of thrones with giants and ice spiders and war elephants
Was bigger sets and all the characters having the characteristic look of their houses but it would have less than half the audience

My two flaws with this idea are the idea that animated shows are immune to bad writing because precedent and that every TV adaptation of a thing should be made that way (as if original shows can't be poorly written just because there's no lore preexisting to get wrong), this is basically one big correlation-causation fallacy

You're right that it might still suck depend on the writing among other things. I could be wrong, I just wonder if someone set out to adapt it for an animated audience if they would care less to change things for a different audience, or if they would lean into the source material more for the audience they have. You're right though, could still suck.

I think what you want is really that another studio make the adaptions. One that respects the source material. If it is the same studio that makes the show but animated, then it will still be the same show and still disrespected. Only difference is if there are real people on the screen.

Your main complaints seem to be about the writing of these shows. I don't understand how animating the show will change that. There are some benefits to animation over live action, but you can't draw your way out of a bad script.

Not only that I think certain franchises should be remade in animation. Imagine the crazy dream sequence you could have in an animated nightmare on elm street, a anime style lightsaber fight in animated Star Wars, and so much more
