The only thing Siri is good for is setting timers, amirite?
by Anonymous2 years ago
I know, right? I ask Siri some softball question, like what time is the World Series tonight? and I get some response like a random section from the wiki page about the World Series.

You'll have to be more specific than that

and even then, not very good, since you can only set one timer at a time....had to download another app to have multiple timers for cooking

I didn't know that. Pretty lame. Sounds like we need to invent an app called "multi-timers"

On the phone yes but an Apple Watch lets you set as many timers as you want

…and calling emergency services. Ever got blinded momentarily? No? That's great! You would be wishing you could call for help if you had, though.

I have to say she's pretty good at turning on my lights when I ask.

She's good for turning on/off location services without having to navigate there

I use Siri to tell what time it is so I don't have to open my eyes if I'm waking up too early and for converting units of measure. I'd like to know some awesome Siri commands that are actually useful.

I know a lot of people who use it to message or call people while driving. If you have the right setting on you can just say "hey Siri call such and such" and it usually works.

That's not true. I also use it to send texts on my work phone.
