The bridal party should be the only people who dress nice for the wedding. amirite?
by Anonymous1 year ago
You understand that attending is optional?
by Anonymous1 year ago
Not when your wife wants you to go
by Anonymous1 year ago
Mine goes by herself or takes her sister - to all the weddings she wants to go to where I know absolutely no one.

You're wife is lucky to have made such a catch. /s

"If there important to me they should be important to you, beside so and so's husband will be there" I just wanna stay home and watch college football
by Anonymous1 year ago
And so and so's husband is getting the same talk about your wife's husband.

Poor guy.

I'm sure she said *They're and not there.
From what you've said so far, sounds like you're just a lazy ass. But I don't know you, and it's your unpopular opinion.

"Oh jeez my WIFE wants me to go somewhere with her! And I have to wear a SUIT! Why is my life so DIFFICULT?"
by Anonymous1 year ago
Is it really asking too much for a grown man to own at least one suit?
by Anonymous1 year ago
I have one I'm tired of wearing it
by Anonymous1 year ago
What's so terrible about wearing a suit?
by Anonymous1 year ago
Weddings are generally fun. Go out and have a good time.
by Anonymous1 year ago
When it's for people I know sure, when it's someone I've talked too once my whole and my wife hasn't seen or talked too in a year why would I want to go
by Anonymous1 year ago
Sounds like the real issue is with your wife dragging you to weddings you don't want to go to. If it was your own friend's weddings would you have as big an issue dressing up to have a fun time?
by Anonymous1 year ago
This screams "I'm cheap". Also why are you only wearing your "super nice" clothes to weddings? It's not a wedding dress, they aren't one time use you know.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Why do you have more than one black tie outfit? A decent Blazer with some white button ups, a pair of khakis, one pair of nice shoes and a few ties is all you'll need for 99% of all weddings.
by Anonymous1 year ago
None of what you listed is black tie.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Wh...what? Yea the black tie outfit you have is seperate frome the cheap outfits I listed...
by Anonymous1 year ago
How hard is it to keep one interview/funeral/formal social events outfit? get over yourself.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Very hard. Just having one would drive me nuts…which is why I have too many.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Stay poor and socially inept. Life is long. Youll avoid all the social events that upwardly mobile people learn to do: banquets, conferences, more weddings, awards, dances, high end restaurants, upperclass society.

The bride and groom should be the only people to dress up. More people will show up if shorts and a t shirt are expected, so you will get more toasters than you know what to do with.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I just think it's funny when you say "all these super nice clothes" when you probably have only like one or two outfits you'd wear to a wedding. Also, people should invite whoever they want, it's up to you to choose whether or not to go. Idk why you'd choose to go to a wedding you don't want to go to.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Looking at family photos, only the bride and groom bought special clothes for the wedding. Everyone else just wore their best for the day.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Yes! Best wedding I ever went to was my best friends where he (the groom) wore jeans, a nice shirt and a tie. I almost felt overdressed in my Khaki pants.
