I usually get the chocolate fudge brownie flavor. It's pretty basic compared to the other flavors and I've seen it in pretty much every store. I think their ice cream is good though so.
Well, it was 7 cad which is not very far from 6 euro, actually. What blows my mind is how ben and jerry is the same price as haagen dazs. At least here in Canada.
I will gladly pay four times as much to get chocolate fudge brownie Ben and Jerry's ice cream than to get the equivalent of any other brand, because there is no equivalent. Häagen-Dazs chocolate might as well be brown vanilla, and where I live it's half as expensive as Ben and Jerry's. I've tried all the other brand's most chocolatey stuff because they're so much less expensive. Nope, come back to Ben and Jerry's every time.
I don't get the other flavors, it's too expensive to experiment for me when I already know what I like; but I will pass up fancy restaurant desserts or trips to the local ice cream parlor if you will just take me to the grocery store and get me a spoon and a pint of Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
I've never cared for their ice cream because it always seems to be about the other crap they toss in the cartons and hardly about the ice cream itself. I'll take Tillamook each and every day.
Can we get past this whole "I don't like something so it is inherently bad and awful and everyone should hate it like I hate it and anyone that doesn't hate it is a big silly stupid head" nonsense?
I never said everyone should hate it.
I said I hate it. In fact, I think its so bad that Im trying to convey here MY OPINION on how something so terrible could be so popular (which I think is marketing).
What I think is childish, on the other hand, is your snob reply of "Ugh.. how boring! So childish! Ugh!". You dont agree with me? Fine! How about bringing your opinion instead of snob remarks? Id love to hear your take on how you disagree with me.
B&J, as wel as HD are certainly overpriced in Europe. Hertog is better bang for your buck, but what I'm trying to say is, if you're in the Netherlands just go off-brand.
Ben & Jerry's isn't really about the ice cream, it's about the add-ins like candy, cookies, fudge, pretzels, etc etc. Ben & Jerry's is famous for loading lots of that stuff in their various varieties, so either you chose the wrong variety or you just prefer more plain jane ice cream.
I feel the opposite. Haagen Dazs have many "simple" flavors and they taste very intense. Try their strawberry or their "dulche de leche" for example. Ben and Jerry on the other hand mix A LOT of stuff for a nasty final result. As I said, the flavours I had taste TO ME, like icy grease with sugar.
I agree, b3n and Jerry is too sweet. whenever I smoke weed and crave for ice cream, raspberry mochi ice is my choice. 5.50 CAD in Walmart . Mango is awesome too

I can't get over the cringe af names to actually see what it tastes like
Although I disagree with you, this seems to qualify as an unpopular opinion.
Thick Mint is the best Ice cream ever made
Never tried it, but it looks so good.
Sounds like your fault for bringing home "peanut butter half baked"...
Agreed, there is no quality to the actual icecream, its junk icecream filled with candy basically.
I remember my friends hypeing Ben and Jerry when it came to my country. We was tremendously disapointed at the taste.
I don't mind Ben & Jerry's, but Tillamook ice cream is where it's at!
Simply live near a Stewart's. The ice cream is phenomenal
I read Tom and Jerry.
I was getting ready to kill u
Hahaahh sameee
At least you didn't pay like 6 euros for it.
I'm in Australia and it costs us $13, equivalent of 11 CAD or about 8 euros ðŸ˜
Painnn

Bruh $7 CAD?!? What province are you from? I usually buy mine for $4 in Alberta
Québec. I hope that explains it! Lol!
But its 7 cad in convenience stores. In the supermarket, as I wrote, its usually between 4 and 6.
That's actually explains so much lol. That's crazy! Even at the convenience stores I've gotten them for $5 since they're always on sale here.
You are incorrect sir.
Why?
Ben and Jerry's is great. But don't get the ones with peanut butter.

Yes, it absolutely is!
Make your own ice cream, we rarely buy store bought anymore.
I've never cared for their ice cream because it always seems to be about the other crap they toss in the cartons and hardly about the ice cream itself. I'll take Tillamook each and every day.
Wtf dude I read Tom and Jerry I was about to say what is wrong with this guy haha
The only one I really like is Cherry Garcia. All the others have too much ingredients and overly sweet.
You leave vanilla heath bar crunch alone you son of a B!
I don't have such a strong opinion as this, but I don't think they're ever my first choice. There are better brands.
Ugh… how boring.

It's so childish.

It's a rancid sugary mess. It's absolutely disgusting. I agree with you. There are so many better brands out there, that even are much cheaper.
B&J, as wel as HD are certainly overpriced in Europe. Hertog is better bang for your buck, but what I'm trying to say is, if you're in the Netherlands just go off-brand.
As someone else pointed out, you should have had another flavor. Americone dream is the best!
They put way too much stuff in their ice cream.

Well, I guess it really is an unpopular opinion. I'm the total opposite. I hate Haegen Dasz but love Ben & Jerry. My all time favorite is Phish Food.
I'm thirty, and personally I like their peanutbutter ice-creams. But I can agree that Haagen Dazs, especially their baileys flavour is/was soo good.
Grease and sugar are like the staple of the American diet. Don't see how it's hard to believe.
Tbh yeah its not as good as like tillamook or talenti gelato which are my treat yourself gotos.
Ben and Jerry's has the best vanilla ice cream.
I really like the vanilla flavour
