+115 Eggs can sit for at least a full day and still be eaten with no problem, but also can't be left out of the fridge for more than 2 hours after you take them out. amirite?

In the U.S. and other countries that require washing of eggs to clean off salmonella, that's true. That's because the washing also removes the cuticle on the outside of the eggs, so they become porous. If you're somewhere that doesn't do this, like the UK or France, eggs are not refrigerated.

Yah, fresh eggs at room temp are good for like 1-3 weeks or something nuts. If you dip them in mineral spirits to seal them they can keep for 6 months or longer.

Wildly off amigo....you can leave boiled eggs in water for days outside...we boil eggs for easter and they sit in a basket and get eaten over deveral days dry (out of the fridge). The fridge thing is also off. Depends on your eggs and location. My own chickens organic eggs left unwashed will last at least 2 weeks outside of a fridge. There is a protective layer the hens include for our convinience. I understand some us vs eu supermarket differences apply. We have literally zero chance of catching salmonella poisoning from fresh (raw) eggs in the UK.

Um, chickens don't live in refrigerators, and I believe they can lay eggs in the summer….

Depends on your country. Places like North America wash your eggs for whatever reason, and kills plenty of good Bacteria. Here In Ireland we don't, and can keep them out of the fridge until whenever they go off.
