Tons more people will own a telescope and get into astronomy when everything finally runs on clean energy and the skies clear up in cities. Lovely night skies everywhere. amirite?

Or at leas t redirect the lights. We can light places properly without shooting so much out into space.

Are you implying clean energy will not be sustainable and will therefore cause blackouts, thus letting city people see stars once all the lights are off?
